I am not blogging lately...But I have been crafting, I promise!
First, let me show you what
Lindolina made for me. This box is perfect for storing my business cards. I love it!!! And the bracelet looks even better on my hand!
Now, let's move on something else that I have been happy about lately. I wanted to try and paint shoes before but never had the courage to do it. And I finally did it. Bought new and cheep leather shoes and when I say cheap, I mean cheap - 2 Euros!!!! I like them but didn't like the color.
For this "makeover" I used black and gold textile color. To be honest I used textile color because I didn't know what else I could use . This choice seemed smart at that time and it turned out even better that I expected.
This process meant applying the color on the shoe 4-5 times until I was happy with the result. After each coat of paint I brushed the shoe with a towel. If you try it you will be getting worried about brushing the paint off. But trust me this is OK and you are on the right path.
You will notice that after applying each coat of paint you can see the brush strokes. Whipping the paint with a towel will make them disappear but at the same time some of amount of paint will remain on the shoe. So as I said, after 4-5 coats of paint you will be happy with the result.
