Two handmade things are never the same

I finally forced myself to crochet this Nordstrom Crochet Hobo Bag. Why I forced my self? Well, I have several reasons not to like doing it:
-Friend of mine asked me to make one for her. I like crocheting for myself, but not necessarily for others.
-It is the second time that I am making this bag.
-The colors are the same!!!!

All I am left to do is sew the lining and a zipper and it is ready for delivery.

You know how they say "Handmade things are unique and they aren't two that are the same?". Well this is true! I believed it before, but this time I used the same yarn, the same hook, the same pattern, the same number of stitches and they don't look the same. Not even close.

My new book Crocheted Flowers is very handy at the moment. Before I would have to search for a flower pattern or improvise to make a flower, and now I just open the book and every time I will do different flower. Well this is fun, cause I don't recognize fun in crocheting something twice in my life.

I tried the Primrose Layers Flower. I had lots of fun doing it because this is not a traditional crochet flower. Maybe this button doesn't match very well, I may change it later. I am thinking of using it as a broach.

Because it was my birthday recently, I decided to spoil myself with new things. I bought these Butterfly stamps and 3-color ink pad. I am thinking of making handmade gift tags or labels with them.

And totally unexpected I spotted this children knitting loom for 2,5 euros. I thought I should give it a try and see what can I do with it. It turns out that I can easily make small projects like bangles or coasters (you can see them on the picture). Weaving seems like fun for me.
For those that will say that this is a toy, it is not an actual loom I will say that I own a knitting loom. Too bad that is very big and I need a spare room to set it up. That's why I have never tried weaving on it.

To nikada nije "bačen" novac!

Bas super radis, mnogo si dobra u svom poslu.

I don't like to make two of the same either. It is really boring I think, and the second always takes looong time to make. The bag are beautiful, I'm sure your friend is happy!

I zato uvjek pogresim kad pricam.

I too never knit or make the same thing twice. I never read the same book and rarely watch the same movies more than once. Why repeat yourself, when there are so many patterns/new books, movies to try/read/watch?
Can't wait to see how you use the stamps!

Your bag and flower are very pretty.

I bought a toy loom a few years back, supposed to be a gift for my niece but decided she was too young for it, so I put it away. Someone else beat me to it and gave her a loom a couple of years later. She had me set it up for her. It was so quick, easy and fun that I pulled out my one to play with.
