I am truing to blog again. I don't even know why I stopped. I had projects to show of, I made pictures of my FO's but I didn't have the will to show them. But now I feel better and I am ready to start again.
Two weeks ago I ordered a book. I choose "Spin it: Making Yarn from Scratch".
I am really excited about ordering it. I am not sure if this is a good book to have, but it was pretty cheap and because it is my first order by Internet I wanted to go with something cheap in order to first see how everything goes.
Also, lately I have been obsessed with cardigans and vests. I started crocheting the Ashlar Crochet Cardigan by Robyn Chachula. I like the original colors at the pattern, but somehow I think that those aren't the colors that I would usually wear. So, after giving some thoughts and browsing through my stash I realized that using only three colors instead of four like the original would be better for me. I am using black, grey and white.
So far, I am really like the pattern and how it looks like, but because I am not using the original type of yarn I am having problems with the sizing. I am using hook No.3 and because of that I ripped it two times. It is such a fun pattern to crochet (at least for me), and so far I don't mind that. It is a top-down pattern, I am at the armhole part of the pattern and I tried it million times on me in order to see if it fits me well, counted the rows and stitches million times but the pattern still didn't made me quit. I still love doing it, and I so far I love how these colors look on me.
As for the yarn, I am using Cable (50%Pure Wool, 50%Polyacril) from Teteks Yarn and I think that I am in love. It's the first time that I even tried it, I bought it accidentally and I wish that I have more of it. I will certainly use it very often in the future.
