Green Crocheted Second Hand Dress // Зелено хеклано фустанче

This is my first second hand crochet garment that I bought in my life. I had a struggle with myself if I should start buying clothes that are crocheted since I can make them and entirely enjoy the process. But after of considered amount of time spent thinking about it , I have decided that I should do it!

Why, you may ask? Well, the price of course :D That doesn't mean that I will be doing it always  I will buy crocheted thing only if they are cheap and really nice, and to be honest some of them deserve a better price...but shhhhhh don't tell the sales person that other wise I won't be getting any cheap crochets any more.

There are several things that daunted me about buying this dress. First of all, it is the color. I have never worn this kind of green color. Then, I didn't know what kind of yarn was used, because I got it from an on-line store, and then I never want to buy clothes before trying them on me. But when I saw the price (100 Denars = 1,5 euros) I said to myself: Whatever it is, I am buying it, because for 1,5 Euros, I can throw it away if I don't like it.

And so it happened...My very fist crochet clothing that I bought...I am not entirely satisfied with the quality of the fabric...but it is not so bad...I might need to take it in a little bit at the waist part to fit me better, but otherwise it is a nice for me.

Ова фустанче е првото нешто што го имам купено од продавница за стара облека, а е воедно и хеклано. Премногу размислував дали да го купам, бидејки секако можам сама да го изработам и воодено ке уживам во целиот процес. Сепак цената (100 денари!!!) одлучи и решив да го купам без разлика на тоа што не знаев дали воопшто ке ми е точно, дали квалитетот на волницата ке ми се допадне и секако бојата која воопшто не сум ја носела до сега.

Не сум презадоволна од конецот кој е користен, но ке пројде. Не ми стои лошо, иако ке треба да го стеснам малку во делот на струкот, а можно е и да ставам патент за да изгледа уште поубаво на мене. Комплетна моја оценка е 8. За поголемиот дел за оценката се заслужби цената и начинот на изработка.  Сепак таа е од одличен квалитет и секоја чест на мајсторката (Македонка е). Секое столбче од плетката и воопшто секој дел изгледа перфектно, дури како машина да го изработила. Браво!

Free pattern - Crocheted boot cuffs

Boot cuffs are underrated accessories. Adding a cuff to you boots can make your feet warm and fashion-wise they can make your outfit look more fun. 

These crocheted cuffs look even more fun than the traditional knitted socks and cuffs. Add them to your plain basic outfit and boots and voila you have instantly added a nice color pop to your outfit.

Crochet-wise, they are a quick project done in maximum 30 minutes and last you forever. The best thing is that you probably don't need to buy yarn for this project and use whatever leftover yarn you have at home.

Free pattern Friday!!!! Crocheted top with ripples

From this Friday I am gonna post a free pattern every week. Not mine patterns, but other people's free pattern that I think are pretty and you might use them for a quick weekend crochet project.

This weeks pattern is the Circus Top from Trish Young. It has been recently added to Ravlery and I think it is very cute, versatile  and fun project to be crocheted. If you use cotton thread you can wear it during the summer and winter over a long sleeve t-shirt.

It was custom made... to be precise made by the wonderful artist Asja Boros. You can check her work here. She does amazing drawings that I am in love with.

Crocheted tablecloths?!?!?!?!

These are typical examples of a crocheted tablecloths (filet crochet) that were made into garments. Usually I don't like this kind of a technique for clothes but I have to admit that I kinda love these. Everyone has the right to change his mind, right?

I also admire the crocheter that did the Paul & Joe Sister Crocheted Cotton Top. They used thread that is very thin and at the end this turned out to be very refined top.

I am obsessed with this look! I love the sweater! It could easily be a DIY project also. I could take an old sweater, chop off the front part and add a crocheted tablecloth.

The cutest thing ever!!! The perfect combination of crochet, sewing and embroidery! And all that is done is such lovely and summery colors! The lower part of this dress/cover-up would make an interesting skirt also. This makes a good DIY idea! Add crocheted ribbon on a dress, make some embroidery on it with fun colors and voila instant makeover!

Најлаткото нешто што сум го видела!!! Одлична комбинација на хеклање, шиење и везење! И сето ова создадено со прекрасни бои! Долниот дел на фустанот би изгледал добро и како здолниште.

Hot or not - Knit/Crochet Pullover

Definitely not my cup of tea. It looks fine, but crocheted pieces sewed on a knitted garment is not really my thing. It looks bulky and there is no need of both of them in this garment. The sweater on it's own looks very pretty, but wouldn't wear it with the crocheted parts, no matter how much i like crocheted things.

Дефинитивно не ми се допаѓа. Изработката изгледа во ред, но хеклани парчиња кои се сошиени на плетена облека не ми се допаѓаат. Изгледа дебело и нема потреба од двете техники во овој случај. Џемперот изгледа убаво и би го носела доколку не се додадени хекланите цветови.

Mitts for the upcoming cold days // Ракавички без прсти

It's getting cold and it is time for new fingerless mittens. Why fingerless? Because I find them very practical (driving and manipulating with things in my hand without having to take off my gloves) and interesting to look at. Here are some ideas that I had in mind as an inspiration.

This is the weirdest combination that I have ever seen. Crocheted raffia handles and acrylic broach on a leather tote. I definitely think it is cute. I definitely see my self doing something similar for myself.

Ова е една од најчудните комбинации што ги имам видено. Хеклани рачки и пластичен брош ставени на кожна торба. Иако ми е чудно, сепак мислам дека ташната е интересна за носење. Можно е во иднина и да си направам нешто слично.

Anna Sui for Vogue Knitting - Early Fall 2011

Yes, Vogue Knitting!!! Vogue publishes magazines for knitting and crochet patterns. I love their knitting patterns and I think that they are innovative and creative. I follow their patterns regularly and I was happy to see that they have published crochet patterns for the Early Fall 2011. But, I was disappointed!!! These crocheted patterns by Anna Sui are not as creative as they could be, I don't like the shapes that they created and the colors are not appalling to me.

Кога видов дека имаат хекални упатства за престојната Есен 2011 се израдував, но за кратко. Ме разочараа!! Овие хеклани парчиња се креирани од Ана Суи и не се толку креативни, нивната форма и бои кои ги користат воопшто не ми се допаѓаат.

1. Granny square vest 

Rainbow back and granny squares in the front. The rainbow wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't for the granny squares in the front. They just don't mach together.

Грб со шара во форма на виножито и квадрати на предниот дел. Виножитото можеби и не би било толку лошо кога не би го ставиле во комбинација со квадратите.

2. Flower Top

Unique vest, flowers combined with crochet chevron in wide stripes. The back is not that bad, but the front does not look good to me. These flowers are not good for the women figure. I like the crocheted shell neckline and that's the only thing that I like about this top. 

Задниот дел не е толку лош, но предниот дел воопшто не излгеда убаво. Овие цветови не се добри за женската фигура. Ми се допаѓа работ во форма на полукругови и тоа е единственото.

3. Flower Hat

Hat made from the flowers that were used in the previous pattern. 

Капа која е направена од цветовите од претходната блуза.

If you want to do it yourself you just need beginners crocheting skills. Just make two big granny squares and join them together to form a tote bag. Then add handles and you are done. 

If you don't know how to make granny squares just follow Purl Bee's tutorial for making simple granny squares.

Hot or Not

Although Oscar de la Renta  makes beautiful crochet clothing I think that this dress and jacket is a total miss. It is ugly for my taste. I don't like the colors and I don't like the ribbon that he used. Maybe without the ribbon this garment would be looking nice and pretty but this way all that my eyes can see is ugly ribbon.

Иако Оскар Де Ла Рента знае да направи навистина прекрасна облека која е хеклна мислам дека со овој фустан и палто направил утка. Грди се. Не ми се допаѓаат боите и не ми се допаѓа тоа што користел ленти. Можеби без лентите ова би била убава облека, но искрено тоа не ни може да се види бидејки се што приметувате овде се лентите во различни бои.

I know that this is old news but I wanted to share it with you anyway. One of my favorite designer crochet bag is the Salvatore Ferragamo Gancio Crochet Bag. I like the shape, size, color and all the details on it. And I am not the only one that likes it. Some celebrities have been wearing it. Jessica Alba is one of them.
